Ilan, 30 years old, living in Tel Aviv.
Ilan spent a few years in the US, working with students, Jews in the diaspora and entrepreneurs – driven by his passion for Social Entrepreneurship.
What are you working on these days?
I’m the business development manager at MyQuest, an early stage startup in Tel Aviv.
We developed a new app that leads people towards fulfilling their life goals.
My day to day involves reaching out, and onboarding new partners who want to take their coaching skills, and make it more effective by reaching thousands more- very inspiring!
I also volunteer for IGY (Israel Gay Youth Organization). Youth and teenagers are the most surprising, and amazing, people.
What was your first position In the Startup-Nation?
This is my first position at a startup.
I started at the end of 2015 and had the privilege to be the 1st employee of the company.
I have been there to help raise the seed money, and along with the co-founders help set up our go-to-market strategies.
What was your first job ever?
My first job was a Dungeons and Dragons (D&D) master at an after school hours program at my high school.
What life event or moment affected your life the most?
Working in an international environment, and living for a long period in the US, taught me how I am strong, independent and showed me what I’m made of.
It also gave me the best perspective of Startup Nation.
I was able to understand how great Tel Aviv’s startup ecosystem is, see the solidarity between entrepreneurs, and also appreciate the weather and food.
Best advice you received or would like to share?
Always keep growing and learning, make a habit to break out of your comfort zone and always make eye contact and smile, especially with strangers.
Life is a surprise if we let it be.
